How to make a business an Internet giant.

SFI came online in Feb. 1999. Starting with less than a thousand
members, it now has over 8,000,000 affiliates in 190 countries.
How did SFI achieve this? The life story of its founder holds a
clue.

Gery Carson was born in rural Nebraska and raised in a small
farming community of about a thousand people. His mother was the
school’s kindergarten teacher, his father the town’s postmaster.
Their home home was modest and he was taught the virtues of hard
work at an early age. As a boy, he delivered newspapers and ran
a lemonade stand to earn extra money.

Upon graduation from high school, Carson moved to the “big city”
of Lincoln, Nebraska where he attended college for a short time
and then found his first “real” job as a draftsman with a local
manufacturer. For over three years he dedicated himself to being
the best employee in the company, never missed a day of work,
and bent over backwards at every opportunity to help the company
prosper.

It hurt so much when the company turned around and “rewarded”
him with a demotion. It was at that moment that he decided he
was going to take control of his future. A few weeks later, in
January of 1985, his company, Carson Services, Inc. was born.

Perhaps inspired by his father’s postal service career, Carson
Services, Inc. (CSI) started as and grew into a very successful
mail order company. A little over ten years later, CSI
discovered the revolution that was beginning to emerge called
The World Wide Web. In 1998, after building a foundation, the
Internet Division was dubbed the SFI Marketing Group and began
growing rapidly.

Unlike the myriad of false opportunities on the Internet,
Carson’s company has experienced unprecedented growth by
emphasizing integrity . Affiliates are required to sign a no
spamming policy and they are rewarded for helping others.

Many people who are looking for an online business get
frustrated when they are asked to send money in order to find
out what the “opportunity” is all about. What a gamble!

Carson believes that people should be able to look a business
over before they commit to it. SF A new information center has
been established at www.i-fired-the-boss.com where prospective
business affiliates can review the program and join for Free!

Hard work and integrity have truly paid off for Gery Carson.

The Benefits of Owning an Air Purifier

The benefits of owning an air purifier are many. In fact, once
you realize all of the benefits derived from owning an air
purifier, not only will you want to buy one for your own home,
you will be recommending them to all of your family and friends.
Air purifiers can dramatically improve your health and with the
affordability of the various types, no home should be without
one.

For those individuals that are prone to allergies, an air
purifier is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. A purifier can help
remove allergens from the air by a filtering system and lessen
the effects that such allergens have on individuals. Let’s face
it; no one enjoys suffering through allergy attacks and if there
is any way possible to minimize the effects of allergens, such
measures are certainly a worthwhile investment. Thus, a purifier
can help minimize the allergy attacks one may have during any
given season and increase the health of the individual.

For those individuals with asthma, again a purifier is a need
not a want. A purifier can reduce the number of dust particles
and other lung irritants in the air that may trigger asthma
attacks. There is nothing more frightening than an asthma
attack, which makes the victim feel as if they can’t breathe and
can leave them in a weakened state. With a purifier, the patient
can reduce the number of asthma attacks they may have during the
year and ultimately improve their overall health.

Those individuals with a weakened immune system will also
benefit from owning one or more purifiers. Purifiers can help
minimize the number of germs in the air and can thereby reduce
the overall illnesses and other contagions one might otherwise
be exposed to. By owning a purifier, you can immediately cut
down on the number of illnesses you and your family may
experience. Good health is one of the most important benefits
one can derive from owning a purifier and the advantages that
accompany good health cannot be overstated.

Purifiers are sold with a variety of different filtration
systems. Some actually possess filters that require replacement
from time to time, while others possess what is referred to as
an ionic system. An ionic system will require that you regularly
maintain the machine by washing the filter inside it from time
to time. This may be a better buy because you will not
constantly find yourself searching for and investing in
replacement filters. Nevertheless, either purifier is better
than no purifier, especially if you need it for your health.

In the end, purifiers are well worth the investment. A clear
reduction in the number of allergy attacks and the number of
asthma attacks can be immediately noticed with and use of an air
purifier. Moreover, you and your family can significantly cut
down on the number of illnesses you experience during the course
of a year. If your health means a lot to you, it’s time to get a
purifier today!

Beauty Care - What Is Sweat?

Sweat is body’s natural defense to maintain the body temperature. Sweat normally contains water, and very small amounts of salt, urea, sugar and ammonia. By sweating body cools itself of the heat that may get generated because of outside temperature, physical work, and emotional stress. Some diseases can also cause sweating. For that you should consult your doctor.

Over and under sweating- some of us may suffer from over sweating (hyperhidrosis) or very less or no sweating (anhidrosis). Very low sweating may be life threatening, while over sweating may sometimes be caused by some severe body problems.

Types of sweat- our body has two types of sweat glands- eccrine sweat glands and apocrine sweat glands. Eccrine glands are distributed all over the body. Apocrine sweat glands are located on the scalp, armpits and the genital area. These glands don’t produce much fluid. Sweat is generally odorless. Most of the times, it is the bacterial disintegration of sweat of both the types that produces odor.

To avoid odor because of sweat, the best method is to keep skin dry. Good hygiene will not allow bacteria to develop and multiply. Change of clothes after sweating is another method, because clothes carry sweat and can cause odor. If you have excessive sweat or are getting troubled by sweat, please consult your doctor who may suggest different methods that may include use of antiperspirants, botox injection, Iontophoresis and in rare cases surgery.

Sweat is not a big problem for most of us. It is the odor that is the bigger irritant. Keep your body clean at all the times and take basic care and you will find most of the problems disappearing. Deodorants do not reduce sweat but only mask the odor with fragrance. the need is not to mask but to stop bacterial disintegration of sweat and if sweat is excessive, to consult doctor and get treated.

Ever Heard About Mortgage Revenue Bonds?

Checking out your Check Book: When a first home purchase isn’t
quite within your grasp

Checking out that balance in the checking account again? Barely
got enough to save after paying bills, buying groceries and
putting gas in the car? Understandable. But, you ask, “How am I
ever going to afford a house of my own?”

That is the ultimate question for many potential home owners.
They live in a vicious cycle of trying to save money for a down
payment while being vigilant in paying bills on time to keep a
good credit rating, only to find their dream home is never quite
within their reach.

Mortgage Revenue Bonds

Have you not heard about MRB - Mortgage Revenue Bonds? It’s the
ONLY federal government program that is available low-income,
first-time home buyers.

Oh, I can hear you now: “But I’m not really low income.” Well,
surprisingly, you really don’t need to be dead broke to reap the
benefits of this program.

I see your ears perking up. “Tell me more,” you say. To qualify
for this aid, you can earn as much as 115% of the median family
income for your area (that figure is based on the fact that your
family includes you and two dependents). You can call your state
Housing Finance Agency to discover the median family income for
your area. The second criterion is that the house you purchase
is your principal residence (a second vacation home obviously
doesn’t qualify) and whose cost does not exceed 90% of the
average cost of a home in your area.

Hey, wait before you run around checking this program, check out

Logo Design

A logo is essentially a visual brand identity of a company. The origins of logos can be traced to the 19th century, when industries added a symbol to represent their companies and to help customers easily identify their products. The trend caught on, and today corporations, services, products, agencies, universities, and colleges all have a specially designed identifying emblem or logo.

The idea probably stemmed from royal courts and the nobility, who for centuries had specific coats of arms emblazoned across everything they owned, from saddles to stables, to farms, castles, manors, furniture, jewelry, and dinnerware.

Since the logo represents a distinct identity, it must have the essential elements of: simplicity, proportionality, flexible color palette, easily legible fonts, and uniqueness. A logo must be designed so that it not just represents the company, but sets it apart. Originality and distinctiveness are the keys to a successful logo. The design elements such as font and color should lend themselves to redesigning as well as to representation in single or multiple colors.

Even before selecting a designer for the logo you need to clarify certain basic thoughts. What should the logo convey? What is the basic identity of my company today and what are the expansion plans? What are my objectives and strategy? Study your product and its customers, brainstorm with those who are committed to the success of your company, and never forget the competitors.

Remember, the logo is essentially a business tool so it must reflect professionalism, competency, and commitment. The logo must survive time and be valid even centuries later.

In logo design, it would be prudent to use vector graphics, as they allow resizing and retain design integrity. Keep away from complicated and intricate logo designs. Limit colors to two or three, this is not just economical but practical. Also chose colors that are in keeping with your industry. Choose a font that is universal and uncluttered.

Here are some common associations: blue represents trust, loyalty, and power; yellow energy, joy, and hope; while green represents growth, sustenance, and regeneration. Among shapes, a circle is associated with connection, community, trust, and safety; a rectangle represents strength; and a triangle power and aggression. Keep such aspects in mind while discussing possible design elements.

An effective logo will make your branding or corporate identity strong. It will strengthen your customer base, enhance the visibility of your corporation, and stand you in good stead on home ground and abroad. An example of a logo design that represents all of this is the Nike “swoosh.” World over, any product with a “swoosh” is identified with Nike.
